TYPE OF PEOPLE IN CRYPTO

In the last few weeks we’ve talked about some pretty serious issues so I thought it would be great to make a post a bit more fun and “relaxed”.

In today’s post I’m going to make a parody about the kind of people who invest in crypto. As I said it’s a simple parody, I’m not looking to make fun of anyone, much less offend.

THE NON-FINANCIAL ADVISOR — FINANCIAL ADVISOR:

This is a well known personality within the crypto world. They are the kind people who give you a long speech about how you should invest your money, what changes you should make in your current performance, why your investments are not getting the best results and how you would get rich. They have answers for everything, however after making you doubt even your own name they disclaim any responsibility by saying “but I am not a financial advisor, this is what I have done but it does not mean that it is right. Do your own research.” But by then you are not even sure you want to invest in crypto anymore.

THE ONE WHO THINKS HE/SHE IS IN WALL STREET:

This is a very characteristic profile too. It is usually very similar to the financial advisor but with many more screens and LED lights. His desk has more computers than an Apple store, they do very in-depth studies (some of them misleading) and they have on their wall the photo of the yacht they want to buy. They usually spend the day on the phone and even if they don’t take off their pyjamas all day, they feel that they could be in the real NYSE

THE ONE WHO IS ALWAYS LATE:

It’s usually that friend who made fun of you when he found out you were investing in crypto. Even though you still advised him to invest but he never listened to you. You told him again to invest in March when the price of Bitcoin (and crypto in general) was very low and he ignored you. You told him again when Bitcoin reached $10k and $12k and he refused again. The same thing happened when Bitcoin reached $16k and now, that it’s approaching $20k, he asks if you think it’s a good time to invest in crypto. Take a breath. And remember that he/she is your friend.

THE BELIEVER:

The name given to someone who holds a crypto in spite of everything, even though it’s known to be a shitcoin, he doesn’t care. He/She believes that this coin will triumph even if all the indicators say the opposite. The believer expects a Christmas miracle, in fact he expects it all year round. This coin going to the moon is as fake as Santa Claus (let’s hope that no child reads this)

THE AFRAID ONE:

They tend to get scared of everything. A mosquito enters the room: they get scared. Bitcoin price drops: they get scared. Bitcoin price goes up: they get scared. And they sell. They are not good long-term holders and therefore they get little profit from their investments. They could make more money through their investments but they sell everything before it reaches its peak.

WOMEN:

Unfortunately the crypto world is still a world dominated by men (although I hope this will change in the coming years). Women have to deal with all kind of comments. From macho comments on their looks to long speeches and explanations from certain crypto-savvy people who think that being a woman means not understanding what men can understand. From here I am going to launch a message that may change your life: Surprise! Women think! Women trade!

THE THEORIST:

They assure you that they know how you can get rich and, in fact, they convince you that they will give you the keys to do it. But when the moment arrives, it’s all phrases we all know: “have a diversified portfolio”, “invest in the long term”, “do a study before investing in any crypto”… Thank you very much indeed. I believe that without your amazing secret keys I could not achieve it.

So these are just a few of the types of people I’ve found in crypto (Twitter, Youtube…) but there are more!

And although I hope I have brought a smile to your face remember that investing in crypto is always serious and that is why I always recommend (to any type of investor) that you invest long term in currencies with value. And if behind each of the coins there is a project that supports them, so much better! That’s why I always recommend $INXT by Internxt because apart from having a low market cap and its high value the project behind it makes $INXT a very valuable currency.
So tell me, do you identify yourself with any of these categories? Don’t be shy! We have all fallen into some of them (or all of them) because we were beginners or inexperienced, I read you!
