Top 5 gifts: What to Give to Someone Who Loves Technology.

It’s Christmas time and means we have to think about gifts for all our friends, family and/or partners. And sometimes this is an arduous task, especially if that person is a technology lover or a “geek”

Today I’m going to give you ideas so that you can make sure you´re giving the right gift, whether it’s Christmas, Valentine’s Day, his birthday or any other day

DECENTRALIZED CLOUD STORAGE PLAN:

Still don´t know what to give to your father or your girlfriend? A Decentralized Cloud Storage plan is a great option. And It doesn’t matter the job or hobby this person has! A lawyer will like it because he/she can have and save all his files and legal documents in a super safe and unhackable way. A photographer will love it too because all his/her photos can be stored in a decentralised cloud (and even better when they take out Internxt Photos) and the same for a streamer because he or she can save all the games recordings in the cloud before uploading them to Twitch or Youtube without taking up space on his devices. And the best of all this is that nobody will be able to access your data.

And I know what you’re thinking “Yes, it’s the perfect gift but it’s going to cost me an arm and a leg”. Well, no, I know of an easy-to-use and inexpensive platform: Internxt Drive. With this cloud you can have a 2TB plan for €8.99/ month.

You may not know it but a 2TB is a lot of space. I haven’t even managed to fill 1TB! But if you don’t need that much space you can also have a 20GB plan for 0.89€/month or a 200GB plan for 3.49€/month.

Internxt Drive is the perfect gift for anyone.

VIRTUAL REALITY HEAD SET

If your partner, sister or brother is a video game lover or a “gamer”, this is definitely something they’ll be eager to try (if they haven’t already). Also, this can be a great gift for children to do super fun activities and try out new experiences. In fact, there are educational apps available where they can learn about the different bones and organs in the human body while playing or go on “virtual expeditions” where they can see animals from all over the world. I also think it’s a perfect gift in the Covid-19 era we are facing, because if we are locked down again you can use the VR goggles to disconnect and experiment in other spaces (virtual ones) without having to leave home. Maybe this will make quarantine a little bit more enjoyable

But remember that this must be used with caution and always with adult supervision.

CRYPTO WALLET:

If the person you want to give a gift to is, apart from a technology lover, a crypto enthusiast or is considering entering this world, this is the perfect gift. A wallet is a tool in which users store and manage their crypto-currencies. I recommend coldwallets (hardware or paper) since these are the safest ones because they cannot be hacked or pirated as they operate offline. You can also fill up the wallet “symbolically”. How? You can buy his/her favourite crypto.

Remember that if the crypto you want to buy is too expensive, for example Bitcoin (unless you’re a millionaire and can afford to give away a Bitcoin valued at $24000), you can always buy a portion of it or buy altcoins (which are usually low market cap coins and don’t usually cost much, in fact there are some of them that only cost a few cents. But before buying any coin make sure it’s not a shitcoin. Here is how you can identify them). I’m sure this person will love this gift (no more fakes smiles while receiving presents!)

HEADPHONES, GAMER CHAIR & CURVED MONITOR:

If the person is a gamer these 3 things do not fail.

Believe me, if you give them a Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones or an IntimaTw WM Heart chair they will love you for ever because these are two of the most important things for a gamer. Playing with a headset like this has nothing to do with playing with a “normal” or “ordinary” one, the experience is completely different. It’s like being inside the game.

Gamers usually spend many hours in front of the screen, so a good and a comfortable gamer chair is essential.

And if that’s not enough, a curved monitor will enhance the immersion experience of the game while reducing eye fatigue.

If you give her/him one of these things, forget about this person for a while since he’ll (or she) like it so much that he/se won’t leave the room. You becoming a gamer will be the only option for you to spend some time with that person after the gift. Be warned.

I hope that with these ideas you can avoid spending hours walking around the mall. With this pandemic it is better to avoid crowded places and focus on online gifts. I have given you options that go from €3 to €1400 so I hope that you have found the idea that best suits you.

I would love to receive any of these gifts! What would be your perfect gift?
